Prof. Thomas Mathew is a distinguished teacher of English Language and Literature with

more than three decades of dedicated service in higher education. Renowned for his academic

commitment, clarity of teaching, and continuing engagement with learners even after

retirement, he has made significant contributions to English education both in the classroom

and through digital learning platforms.

He obtained his M.A. in English Literature with First Class and Second Rank in 1969

from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (formerly the University of Indore, Madhya Pradesh).

Prof. Thomas Mathew served for 30 years as a faculty member in the Department of English

at Baselius College, where he earned the respect and admiration of generations of students for

his scholarly approach and inspiring teaching methods.

Following his retirement, he continued his academic service as Guest Lecturer at several
